• ongoing compliance
Users must carry out their own checks.

Verified Listings
A Verified badge confirms that the business has supplied documentation which we have reviewed at the time of submission only. Documents may include insurance, qualifications, identity checks, or an Animal Activity Licence.

We do not:
• guarantee authenticity
• conduct background checks
• inspect premises
• confirm DEFRA compliance
• guarantee future validity of documents
Verification is document-based only and is not an endorsement.

Any agreement between users and businesses is strictly between those parties.

  1. UK Pet Service Licensing Requirements
    Businesses offering certain pet services must comply with UK law, including licensing requirements such as the Animal Activity Licence for:
    • dog home boarding
    • dog daycare
    • dog breeding
    • commercial boarding kennels
    • catteries
    Businesses offering regulated services must display their licence number and issuing local authority.

Other requirements may apply, including transport authorisation for pet taxis or environmental permits for cremation services. Businesses are responsible for ensuring their own legal compliance.
